Summer Wu is a highly motivated and accomplished product manager with a passion for building innovative products that delight and amaze users. With a background in computer science, Summer has spent the last 8.36 years working in technology, including mixed reality, security, and startups. Currently, she is a product manager on Snap's Camera Business team, where she is focused on bringing augmented reality-powered shopping experiences to Snapchat’s 300M daily active users (and beyond!). Prior to joining Snap, Summer worked at Microsoft as a Senior Product Manager for AR/VR, where she managed Microsoft's mixed reality partnership with Epic Games and built out the roadmap for Unreal Engine support for HoloLens 2 and mixed reality services. She also drove partner adoption and built out a content ecosystem of 3rd party HoloLens 2 experiences built on Unreal. In addition, Summer collaborated with internal stakeholders to identify and track key metrics across the mixed reality developer platform and built a cross-functional team of PMs, engineers, and designers. Summer's experience also includes a teaching assistant role at Yale School of Management, where she held office hours, led walkthroughs, and graded exams for "Apps, Software and Entrepreneurship," a class of 40 Yale College and MBA students. The course was cross-listed as CPSC213/MGT569. Summer is a builder at heart, and she aspires to contribute towards a future that delights, amazes, and is accessible to all. She is highly skilled in product management and has a deep understanding of the tech stack. When she's not prototyping with holograms, Summer is likely learning a new language, training for her next marathon, or curled up with a good book.
