Sundeep Patnaik is an Associate Vice President - Talent at Deloitte U.S. India offices with over 18 years of experience in the industry. He is a passionate recruiter who believes that there is no skill that cannot be found and no role that cannot be filled. He is a strong advocate of the philosophy that acquisition is a business of discovery and not invention, and he believes in the concept of “next play” practiced by Jeff Weiner. Sundeep has gained extensive experience in acquisition, workforce management, leadership hiring, diversity management, and succession planning in diversified industry segments such as BFSI, Consulting, and Start Up environment. He is an ‘intra-preneur’ who makes good use of people and resources to deliver talent programs effectively and pragmatically. Sundeep has a deep-rooted interest in digital technology, which he believes will be a game changer and a fundamental prerequisite than just a buzzword. He believes that technology can be leveraged to enhance a firm’s brand proposition. He creates platforms for exchange of best practices and perspectives, trend analysis and shares inputs with the talent leadership, which helps them create the roadmap for the workforce of the future. Sundeep spends considerable time designing the roadmap for D-SOCIAL team, which pilots and advocates the usage of digital apps/tools/technologies in the hiring process leading to an increase in branding and process efficiencies. Sundeep holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University College Dublin and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Metallurgical Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology. He has also completed his 10+2 from IEMS, Rourkela. Sundeep is always interested in having conversations with like-minded people around technology, disruption & innovation in the talent space.
