Sunil Goyal is a highly experienced executive with a passion for people and a proven track record of success. Currently serving as the Dy. Chief Executive Officer of Sopra Steria India and CEO of Sopra Banking Software India, Sunil is responsible for all functions including software delivery, HR, IT, Finance, and administration. With centers in Noida, Chennai, Pune, and Bangalore, Sunil manages an employee strength of 6000 people and has been instrumental in setting up a highly performance-driven culture at the center. Before joining Sopra Steria, Sunil co-founded Momentum India in 1993 with almost nil seed capital. Along with his co-founder, he grew the company from 2 to 40 people in 5 years, and became one of the largest channel sales partners for Wipro InfoTech for their IT products in India. He was instrumental in diversifying into the software services business and subsequently raising 1.5 million USD funding from Citibank. Sunil was responsible for growing the delivery center in India to 100 people and managing all operations. He instituted various quality processes in Momentum India that resulted in Momentum getting SEI CMM level 5, ISO 9001, and ISO 27001 certifications in a short duration. He was part of the management team that engineered Momentum's acquisition by Newell and Budge in March 2005, one of the largest IT companies in Scotland. This company was subsequently acquired by Sopra Group in July 2005, a billion Euro French company with more than 13000 people worldwide. Sopra subsequently merged with Steria in 2014 and the merged entity, Sopra Steria, is a 3.8 billion Euro company with 40,000 people worldwide. Sunil's career started in 1989 as a support engineer in UB's communications division. He then moved to Wipro's channel sales team from 1991 to 1993. Sunil completed his B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from IIT Roorkee in 1989 and also holds a Class X11 degree from Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, and a Class X degree from St. Joseph's College, Nainital. With 33.63 years of relevant experience, Sunil is a senior software engineer with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the industry.
