Sunil Gupta is an accomplished engineering leader with over 23 years of experience across a wide range of disciplines, including cloud, DevOps, tools and infrastructure, test automation, and IC/microprocessor design/validation/manufacturing. He has a strong track record of delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced environment and is known for his ability to learn new domains quickly. Sunil is currently the Vice President of Engineering at ThoughtSpot, where he is leading the Cloud Infrastructure build, delivery, and operations and development productivity engineering, tools, and automation charter. His team's objective is to build, deliver, operate a cost-efficient, secure, reliable, and elastically scaled multi-cloud infrastructure to host all Thoughtspot SKUs for all their customers and developers. Sunil has diverse product development industry experience across many sectors and is skilled in hiring, mentoring, and retaining engineers. He has grown technical teams over several hiring seasons and formed new teams with growing roles, managing cross-functional teams across multiple sites with crisp execution for on-time quality product delivery. Sunil has a strong ability to build impactful systems that solve complex problems and is currently building and delivering a Multi-cloud SaaS and development productivity and engineering infrastructure tools and operations for Thoughtspot, helping it in its journey to transform the BI space. Before joining ThoughtSpot, Sunil worked at Intel as a Design Engineering Manager, responsible for end-to-end development of several blocks of Intel's family of SOC products. He also served as a Mixed Signal Verification Team Lead, building verification components from the ground up and leading a team of several engineers doing physical and electrical layer pre-silicon design verification for components like QPI, PCIe-Gen1/2/3, DDR3, variety of other low/high speed Intel I/Os and power controllers. Prior to that, Sunil worked at Applied Materials as a Regional Field Support Engineer, where he was responsible for semiconductor thin film process (CVD) development, qualification, and equipment hardware debug at customer foundries. Sunil's technical skills include infra, SDET, test, DevOps, senior software engineer, product designer, integration, frontend, and backend.
