Sunil Kumar is a self-motivated ADAS validation engineer with 8.35 years of experience in testing the ECU at SYS-5 and SWE-6 levels, as well as vehicle testing. He is currently working as a Technical Specialist at Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions, where he is responsible for RADAR Sensor Validation for Level 5 Autonomous Vehicle planned for SOP from 2023. Sunil has led a team of 3 members for validating SW requirements at SWE-6 test level and performed functional validation at SYS-5 level. He has also been involved in CT implementation for performing nightly test runs on a daily basis to ensure SW stability. At SWE-6 level, Sunil is responsible for ensuring 100% coverage of SW functional requirements using Lauterbach debugger (trace-32) and Canoe rest bus simulation. At System Validation, he is responsible for HIL testing to validate ADAS features such as ACC, LKA, ESS, AEB, UDS, CAN physical layer testing, and power waveform testing. Sunil has also been involved in Vehicle testing of ADAS features at Mercedes Benz test track in Germany. Previously, Sunil worked as a Senior Engineer at Mercedes Benz, where he was responsible for functional testing of sensor fusion SW modules developed for ADAS ECU (S-Class 2021: Level-3 autonomous vehicle). He was also responsible for HIL validation of Longitudinal control features (ACC, LKA, ESS) and was part of Vehicle Testing in Germany for testing S-Class 2021: Level 3 autonomous vehicle. Sunil has also worked as an Engineer at Mercedes Benz, where he was involved in HiL validation of various ADAS functions developed for a Level-2 autonomous vehicle. Sunil holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University. His tech stack includes test, software engineering, and research scientist.
