Sunil Kumar is a tech consultant and startup enthusiast with over 9 years of relevant experience. Currently, he works as a Senior Software Engineer at Grab, where he launched AutoInvest, an investment portfolio management product that scaled to 1.7 million accounts and 8 million transactions, with total assets under management of around 0.3 billion SGD. He also built a crypto service for Grab Rewards System with FTX as a partner broker and brought up Kafka systems from scratch, enabling the publishing of real-time events for campaign planning. Prior to his current role, Sunil headed the engineering team of a fintech startup, Moneyvation Technology PVT. LTD, where he delivered a Fraud Detection System for CapitalFirst, one of the major NBFCs in India, and built a robust EDI technology for Zenefits, a US-based company. He also built a lending product, Loancircle.in, which saw a successful disbursement of around 1 crore loan amount within a quarter of launch, with all the underwriting and loan approval being done automatically and instantly. Sunil has also started his own B2C Proptech startup, goRented, and a B2B EdTech startup, Studybud, with the latter doing significant business. Sunil's experience ranges from working with MNCs like LG and ROVI to early-stage startups like LoanCircle/singulariti.ai (Moneyvation Tech PVT LTD. | FinTech) to self-attempted startups like goRented (Proptech), Studybud (EdTech). He is passionate about anything around technology and believes that startups are the next MNCs. Sunil is open to part-time consulting and is always excited to dig deeper into new technologies. Sunil holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from NIT Calicut and completed his secondary school education in physics, chemistry, and maths from VVDav. He is proficient in various tech stacks, including Python, AI, Kafka, Django, MySQL, Java, Redis, RabbitMQ, Docker, Javascript, MongoDB, Elastic Search, iOS, Microservices, Backend, and Web.
