Sunit Adhikary is a highly skilled data scientist with expertise in 3D deep learning, AR/VR, and agritech. With over 4 years of relevant experience, he has a proven track record of developing cutting-edge solutions using advanced technologies. Currently working as a Deep Learning Engineer at Ajnalens, Sunit specializes in 3D deep learning, including segmentation, classification, detection, and 3D bounding box of objects in a natural scene using LiDAR point cloud. He has also developed a solution for human pose estimation and hand pose estimation, which has been deployed as a web service on Google Cloud. Additionally, he is working on creating robust 3D avatars from a single RGB image and deploying computation hungry deep learning algorithms on resource-constrained edge devices like Intel Neural Compute Stick and Qualcomm 845 dev kit. Prior to Ajnalens, Sunit worked as a Senior Engineer at Agnext Technologies, where he developed vision algorithms for quality assessment of agricultural products. He also developed a deep learning algorithm for fine leaf count of tea leaves, which can automatically do quality analysis of tea leaves. This solution, called TRAGNEXT, can process tea leaves in kilos and is aimed at providing farmers the benefit of a proper fine leaf count. In addition, Sunit worked on drone image analysis for surveillance and presented a POC to the Lt. Gen. of Indian Army. Before Agnext Technologies, Sunit was a Developer at Unbiased, where he worked on sentiment analysis from text, extraction of named entities for Scandinavian languages, classification of texts, and developed a text summarization algorithm using deep learning techniques. Sunit holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati. He also has a strong educational background, having completed his AISSCE from Resonance Eduventures Limited, AISSE from Children Senior Secondary School, Kota, and AISSE from Indus Academy.
