Sunny Jain is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft with over 14 years of experience in software development. Currently, he is working on the Microsoft Surface Devices Apps & Experiences team for the Android platform, where he has worked on various system applications on Surface Duo. Sunny has expertise in multimedia systems and software development, with extensive hands-on experience in the development of VoD streaming servers and clients and broadcast systems. He has developed and deployed systems to deliver multimedia content based on adaptive streaming technologies, including HLS and MPEG DASH. He also has a good understanding of MPEG-2 Transport Stream de-multiplexer and RTP/RTSP related protocol stacks. Sunny has worked on various multimedia frameworks and systems over various embedded chipsets, such as TI and Qualcomm chips. Sunny's specialties include adaptive streaming technologies, multimedia frameworks such as OpenMax-IL and proprietary frameworks like NuPlayer and Gstreamer, and MPEG2-TS, MP4 3GP-based systems on Linux/Android.
