Sunny Kumar is a highly experienced Product Manager with a strong background in data science, currently handling discovery at Pratilipi. With over 9 years of relevant experience, he has worked extensively on key areas of the platform, building data-driven systems and functionalities to improve user experience and acquisition/retention. As a Strategy Analyst at Pratilipi, Sunny worked with the CEO's team to build a dashboard that tracks metrics across different segments for people across the domain. He also built functionalities for maintaining quality of the contents in the platform using ML models, algorithms, and third-party APIs. He developed a data-driven system for sharing and promoting contents in social media platforms, and a meaning/synonyms feature for 8 Indian languages, embedded in the reader to enhance user experience. Sunny has also exposed some of these features as open source as Rest API. Sunny is also a Co-Founder of Mobriq, where he was responsible for product inception and development, building a roadmap of the features, and conducting market research to identify the needs of merchants and customers. He was involved in B2B enterprise sales, talking to potential stores and developing sales leads, and partnership with POS solutions for integrations. Sunny has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in General Management from NITIE and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science from KIIT University. He also completed 12th from Modi Public School, Kota, and 10th from BNS DAV Public School, Giridih. Sunny's technical expertise includes product management, data science, machine learning, parts-of-speech, and research science. With his exceptional skills in these areas, he has become a valuable asset to the Pratilipi team.
