Sunny Mitra is a Principal Software Engineer at Microsoft, Hyderabad, with over 10 years of experience in software engineering. He is currently a part of the Office 365 team and is working on bootstrapping a service for the Kaizala Actions platform to be integrated with Microsoft Teams. Sunny has a keen interest in large scale app development, algorithms and data structures, problem solving, designing, and cross-platform programming. Sunny completed his Master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and has since been working on various projects at Microsoft. He was a CoreExperience (CXE) engineer for Word/Excel/PowerPoint in the Android platform (Project K2) for around a year. Later, he worked as a developer for Excel ('16) iOS, which piqued his interest in large scale app development. He then moved to the MobileOnly team, a start-up within Office 365, and developed Sprightly for iOS, followed by Microsoft Kaizala - the next big thing of MobileOnly team. Sunny's main area of focus is to develop a full-scale SDK (along with the required set of development tools) for Kaizala's card extensibility, so that anyone with a mere knowledge of HTML/Javascript can develop a Mini-App for Kaizala. He enjoys solving challenging problems around scale, performance, and federation for their service components. Apart from being a gadget buff, Sunny loves spending time on Quora, listening to music, watching movies and TV series. He is proficient in various technologies, including Software Engineering, iOS, Android, Javascript, and Objective-c. He has previously worked as a Software Engineer 2 and Software Engineer at Microsoft, where he gained valuable experience in cross-platform programming on a day-to-day basis. Overall, Sunny is a highly skilled and experienced software engineer with a passion for large scale app development and problem-solving.
