Surabhi Ahuja is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in back-end software development and a flair for Java programming and enterprise software development. With nearly 15 years of relevant experience, she specializes in Cloud, Distributed Systems, Virtualization, and Backend API development in Java. Currently, Surabhi is working at Netflix as a Senior Software Engineer in the Membership Engineering Team. In this role, she is responsible for operating the system of record for the 150 million Netflix subscribers and actively engaged in growth and acquisition initiatives, implementing plan and pricing features. Prior to Netflix, Surabhi worked at VMware as a Sr. MTS Cross Cloud Services and Software Engineer (Server), Cloud Provisioning. In her role at VMware, she worked on the Cross Cloud initiative, handling the discovery and management of resources (compute/network/storage) across clouds, including public clouds like AWS/Azure. She also worked on Asynchronous REST microservices built on the highly scalable and distributed computing platform Xenon. Surabhi is a highly skilled software engineer who is responsible for picking up and delivering end-to-end features while mentoring and overseeing a team of engineers. She is also responsible for keeping services in production up and running 24*7 and participates in a Pagerduty rotation with the rest of the engineering team.
