Suraj Kumar Jha is an accomplished Engineering Manager at Phonepe with over 9 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently, he leads the backend services of Indus OS and Indus App Bazaar, India's largest indigenous mobile app store that also powers the Samsung galaxy app store. He is also managing the Indus OS monetization platform (Indus Prisma) and Samsung Discover product. Suraj is spearheading the B2C version of Indus appbazaar and working towards the global expansion of their app store. Prior to his current role, Suraj has worked as a Lead Engineer at Flexiloans and Senior Software Engineer at Bookmyshow. At Bookmyshow, he shifted the default communication channel from SMS to WhatsApp, making it the first company in India to integrate with WhatsApp Messenger. Suraj has a strong focus on backend technologies like RabbitMQ, Nodejs, Express, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, Telegraf, Kapaticor, Docker, etc. He leads all the projects in the systems and research team, devises strategies, and decides software architecture for existing and new products. Suraj holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Engineering from Fr Conceicao Rodrigues Institute. He completed his H.S.C from C.B.S.E and S.S.C from C.B.S.E. Apart from his formal education, he has gained expertise in various technologies like Senior Software Engineering, Mobile, Backend, Research Scientist, Software Engineering, RabbitMQ, NodeJS, Docker, MongoDB, Elastic Search, and many more.
