Suraj Kalwani is a seasoned entrepreneur with a strong background in building successful startups. He is the Founder and CEO of Crypso, a community-led crypto discovery and investing platform for young Indian users. With a mission to solve the broken discovery process in crypto, Suraj is building a platform that enables users to follow experts and peers, stay up-to-date with the latest trends, and trade crypto with expert traders. Prior to Crypso, Suraj co-founded Truebil, a full-stack used car platform that solved for trust in the used car market. Using technology and data science, Truebil pioneered the online-to-offline journey for used car buyers with industry-first features like TrueScore and TruePrice. After scaling Truebil to Mumbai, Bangalore, and Delhi, the company was acquired by Spinny in 2020. Before Truebil, Suraj worked as a Business Operations Manager at Housing, where he spearheaded the set-up and expansion of the New Projects Category. He also launched the first home-booking marketplace in partnership with Tata Value Homes. Suraj holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He completed his high school education in Science from Christ Church Boys' Senior Secondary School, Jabalpur. With over 9 years of relevant experience, Suraj is well-versed in P2P, Web3, and NFT technologies. He believes in the power of communities and is passionate about building products that solve real-world problems.
