Suraj Nalin is a highly skilled and experienced Cofounder & CTO at PlaySimple Games. With over 14 years of experience in the tech industry, Suraj has worked on a variety of projects and has gained expertise in the full web stack, as well as mobile game development. Suraj's strength lies in his ability to quickly ramp up on new technologies and deliver quality final products. He is proficient in several programming languages including PHP, Go, C, C++, SQL, HTML5, CSS, and Javascript, and has experience with various technologies such as Apache, Cocos2d-x, Git, jQuery, Linux, Memcached, Membase, MongoDB, Monit, MySQL, Nginx, RabbitMQ, Redis, Splunk, Svn, Unity, and Varnish. Prior to his current role at PlaySimple Games, Suraj worked at Zynga as a Senior and Principal Software Engineer. He led the development effort of a new mobile game, helped reduce the cost of running the Mafia Wars game by $5000 per day, and investigated and redesigned systems to improve performance. He also worked on performance improvement and server cost reduction efforts for Mafia Wars and led the frontend development of Arena, a synchronous PvP fighting system. Suraj holds a B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He is a highly skilled software engineer with expertise in mobile and web development, SQL, and backend and frontend development.
