Suraj Rana is a Software Development Engineer 2 at Microsoft, with a passion for working on new and interesting projects. He is driven by his curiosity to find out how things tick and is attracted to innovations. Suraj is fascinated by technology and its influence on our current world, and wishes to be a part of it in a significant capacity. Currently, Suraj works in Azure Networking team as an SDE 2, where he is a part of Azure Front Door team - Azure's CDN service. This highly scaled up and distributed system powers many of Microsoft's services like Teams, Xbox, and Azure customers. Prior to Microsoft, Suraj worked at Amazon as a Software Developer 1 in the Identity team. He handled Tier 1 services that were called by almost every internal and external client of Amazon. These services handled user authentication and sensitive customer information like email and password. He also worked as an SDE Intern in the Product Customization Team, where he was involved in the development of three main projects - Client Side Metrics, Fulfillment Service Onboard, and Continuous Testing. Suraj holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIIT Delhi. He also attended Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram. Suraj has a diverse tech stack that includes Software Engineering, Azure, Backend, Kubernetes, AWS, test, NoSQL, Java, SQL, product manager, Javascript, Microservices, DevOps, Search, Integration, Mobile, Frontend, infra, and Python. With 6.61 years of relevant experience, Suraj is a skilled and experienced software engineer who is always eager to take on new challenges.
