Suraj Sawai is a Senior Power System Developer/Engineer with over 4 years of experience in power system application development. He currently works at Siemens Technology and Services Pvt. Ltd. in India. Suraj received his M.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power and Energy Systems from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 2017 and his B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Amravati, India, in 2015. Suraj has worked in various roles in the power system industry, including as a Software Engineer (Power System Application) at General Electric, India and as a Project Engineer at Hitachi ABB, India. At Hitachi ABB, he worked on the NYISO EMS/BMS upgradation project, where he was involved in testing the software, code development, and fixing defects. He mostly worked on State Estimation, Dispatch power flow, Security Analysis, and Bad data detection. He also worked on EMS Database (AVANTI and Oracle) using AQL, SQL, and PL/SQL. Suraj's research interests include Power System Relaying and Power System Monitoring (Energy Management System). He has a strong background in software engineering and research, which he has applied in his work. His technical skills include Software Engineering, Research Science, SQL, and testing.
