Suraj Singh is a graduate student pursuing an MS in Management Science and Engineering at Columbia University. With over 1.5 years of relevant experience, Suraj has worked for some of the biggest and complex clients. He started his career at Deloitte, where he worked in the SAP line as an Implementation Business Analyst, gaining skills like scheduling, risk management, leadership, strategic thinking, data analysis using Excel and SQL, relationship management, and more. During the pandemic, Suraj stepped up and volunteered to fill in the resource gap in the Human Resource Transformation (HRT) line at Deloitte USI. He got trained in SQL, Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting, Human Capital Management (HCM) Extracts & Fast Formulas and later worked as a Technical Business Analyst on an HCM Fusion implementation project. This exposure has given him a new set of skills that include handling JIRA dashboards, Product lifecycle management, SCRUM & Agile methodologies, Product Management, Project Management, etc. Suraj aims to transition his career towards more challenging problem-solving roles like Product Manager, Management Consultant, Strategic Analyst, etc. Apart from his technical skills and experience, his calmness while handling pressure situations adds a lot of value to what he can bring to these roles. He possesses strengths like judgement and prioritization skills, natural superpower to motivate teams to achieve maximum potential, ability to strategize and stay ahead of the rest before making a decision, strategic sense of businesses, empathizing with team members and clients, etc. Suraj has also earned an Oracle Payroll Cloud 2020 Certified Implementation Specialist certification. Currently, Suraj is working as a Business Development Intern at Amazon. He has also worked as a Course Assistant at Columbia University in the City of New York, where he facilitated over 200 students in ENGI 4200 Global Engineering Concepts to confront the world’s most considerable challenges like access to clean water, clean energy, sanitation, etc., among many other global goals. Additionally, he worked as a Graduate Student Consultant at Amgen, where he led the development of the forecasting model and user-friendly dashboard by collaboration with the client’s data analysis team. Suraj holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology. He also has an Intermediate degree in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry from Sri Chaitanya College of Education. Suraj is proficient in SQL, AWS, product manager, and web technologies.
