Suraksha Pai is an experienced Engineering Manager with a passion for designing and building user interfaces for web applications. With over 6 years of relevant experience, Suraksha has a strong background in frontend infrastructure development, UI design, and engineering. Currently, Suraksha is the Engineering Manager for Web Infrastructure at Yelp! where she leads a team responsible for building the frontend infrastructure for the platform. Prior to this, she worked as a Fullstack Software Engineer at Yelp! where she gained valuable experience in developing web applications using technologies such as ReactJS, AngularJS, Node.Js, and MongoDB. Suraksha's passion for UI design and engineering led her to pursue a Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Mobile Apps and Services Lab. During her time there, she was responsible for building a web application in the lab, conducting tutorials on topics involving UI Design, UI Engineering, and Fullstack Development, and taking lectures on UI Design and Engineering and Fullstack Development. With a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science from BMS, Suraksha has a strong foundation in computer science and has worked as a Research Scientist, Designer, and Software Engineer in addition to her current role as an Engineering Manager. Suraksha's tech stack includes expertise in Senior Software Engineering, Web infrastructure, Javascript, Frontend, UI, MongoDB, Mobile, NodeJS, ReactJS, and AngularJS. She is a Javascript enthusiast and is always building applications and tinkering around in the browser. Suraksha is particularly interested in building web applications with usability and efficiency, and her experience and expertise make her a valuable asset to any team.
