Surath Samaddar is an experienced Automation Test Engineer with a strong background in software testing, both automation and manual. With almost a decade of experience in the industry, Surath has worked with development teams to ensure the resolution of testing issues and has a proficiency in grasping new technical concepts quickly and utilizing them in a productive manner. Surath is a focused and goal-driven individual with strong work ethics and a commitment to offer quality work. As a self-motivated team player, Surath possesses good interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills. Currently working at Cognizant as a Senior Associate, Surath has previously worked at PWC as a Senior Consultant, where he was responsible for web UI automation using Selenium, Core Java (Cucumber framework), API automation using Soap UI Pro using groovy scripting, and used tools such as Maven, GIT, Jenkins, qTest, and Jira. Prior to that, he worked at Mol IT as a Software Test Analyst, where he tested web applications and supported primary users for any type of queries regarding the application. Surath has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Seacom Engineering College, and has completed his Higher Secondary and 12th from Harinavi D.V.A.S and West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, respectively. He also has a High School degree from Harinavi D.V.A.S and a Madhyamik degree from West Bengal Board Of Secondary Education (WBBSE). Surath is skilled in various areas such as test, SDET, UI, web, Selenium, Java, Jenkins, and has almost 10 years of relevant experience in the field.
