Surender Sampath is a skilled Software Analyst with over 5 years of experience in the automotive industry. He has a Master's degree in Internet of Things from Queen Mary University of London and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Instrumentation from Anna University. He also completed his High School education from Chettinad Vidyashram. Surender is a proficient programmer with expertise in Python, Cloud, and IoT product development. He has a good understanding of Agile-Scrum methods and experience with Atlassian tools. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at essensys, where he has designed and implemented software features of smart access control systems from Hardware Abstraction Layer to Application layer using ESP32, RS485, Wifi, AWS IoT Core, AWS OTA Jobs, IoT SDK, and AWS Quicksights. He has contributed in all phases of development of the firmware including design, implementation, code reviews, debugging, estimating and breaking down tasks, hardware validation testing, and documentation. He has also worked with the platform team to implement and continuously improve OTA update procedures as well as CI/CD build process. Surender has architected, developed, and maintained custom tools and dashboards to increase the scale and efficiency of the product. He has architected and developed APIs and integrated strategy for testing IoT Platforms and collaborated closely with Hardware and Marketing teams from design to release phase. He has designed and developed devices, sensors, and software for end-to-end IoT Use cases using cloud environments such as AWS and Azure. He has experience of working with Agile delivery methodologies, waterfall, and carried out task scoping and effort estimation.
