Suresh Kaukuntly is a tech specialist with a passion for engineering and building backends for millions of devices. With over 18 years of relevant experience, Suresh has worked on a diverse range of projects including firmwares, embedded systems middleware, mobile applications, desktop applications, distributed systems, web apps, server-side development, and big data systems. He is a single-tasking advocate who believes in using technologies as tools rather than skills. Currently, Suresh works at Costrategix where he designed and developed a mobile ad network that serves millions of Android devices. He has already delivered billions of ads using 40+ microservices and 30+ Lambdas. Suresh has translated requirements by product owners to technical solutions and mentored his team to scale the system to handle billions of API requests per month. He has also trained his team to provide end-to-end support for production incidents (SRE) and explored multiple new-age technologies for requirement fit. Suresh estimated TCO for the systems, making him an asset to the company. In the past, Suresh has worked at Rediff as a system architect where he applied big data thoughts to build distributed, scalable, and low maintenance, real-time frameworks to manage day-to-day maintenance of the complete mail system. He also built and deployed a real-time monitoring system to defend Rediffmail servers against malicious usage and protect user identities. Suresh has also founded KnolBee, an iPhone app aimed at reducing information overload and keeping users updated with the latest news and information. Suresh has a Bachelors's degree in Information Science and Engineering from Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology. He completed his high school education at Seshadripuram Boys High School. Suresh is skilled in backend, mobile, SRE, web, Android, microservices, senior software engineer, big data, PHP, and MongoDB. He is an excellent problem solver with a keen eye for detail and a passion for building innovative solutions.
