Suresh Thiyagarajan is an experienced software architect with over 27 years of experience in designing various software platforms. He has a master's degree in computer science and has worked in various companies such as Windriver, Cisco, Ericsson, and Broadcom, including seven plus years in the US. He has played various roles such as Principal Engineer, Technical Leader, Systems Architect, and Technical Director, with most of these roles being hands-on, with additional time spent on mentoring, product design, and road map discussions. As a Technical Leader, Suresh works on cutting-edge technologies and is responsible for mentoring, systems design, and future roadmaps. He converts marketing requirements into product and engineering specifications and gets involved in all stages of product development life cycles, ensuring the right design, portability, quality, and performance metrics are achieved. As an Entrepreneur, Suresh has built a service company that developed RTOS, Board Support packages, and Device Drivers for DSPs and Wireless SOCs. It achieved "break-even" in six months and became a certified vendor for Broadcom. Currently, Suresh is the Chief Software Architect for a startup where he is designing an end-to-end energy IoT system that includes ML-based fleet management, energy optimization, carbon optimization, edge software with edge ML, plug & play device integration, cloud microservices, demand reduction, DER management, and carbon credits. Suresh has worked with companies such as Enphase Energy and Broadcom in the past, where he architected a large-scale IoT edge distributed platform and established and led a new development team in India, respectively. Suresh's technical skills include ML, senior software engineering, product design, microservices, and integration, and he has relevant experience of 26.62 years.
