Currently, he is the Site Lead & Sr Director of Engineering at Carousell, a classifieds marketplace that makes buying and selling as easy as taking a photo and chatting. Carousell is one of the world's largest and fastest-growing marketplaces in eight markets across Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and is backed by Telenor Group, Rakuten Ventures, Naver, Sequoia Capital, and Naspers. In his current role, Suresh leads the engineering team at Carousell and is responsible for building e-commerce, mobile payments, mobile messaging, and Fintech platforms. He is a passionate individual who enjoys solving meaningful problems and is always looking for new challenges. His experience in building Wealth Management products for Paytm customers (Mutual Funds, NPS, Stock Trading) and systems to enable Cross-Border Commerce has been invaluable to Carousell's growth. Suresh's educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy. He is a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Mobile and Software Engineering. With over 21 years of relevant experience, Suresh is a seasoned professional who is well-versed in the latest technologies and trends in the industry. Suresh's past experience includes serving as the CTO/VP-Engineering at Paytm, where he built a Wholesale Commerce platform and app. He is an excellent communicator and collaborator who enjoys working with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
