Suresh Vjayakumar is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, with over a decade of experience as a lead firmware engineer. He is a dominant force in Linux, Remote Server Management, SDLC, and has managed several teams in Remote Server Management by analyzing, designing, and implementing several of the features in the sub-systems. Currently, Suresh is serving as the Development Lead for Azure Hardware Diagnostics Development related to ARM/x86 based Servers, covering up the OOS nodes and its recovery time using the automation environment, tools. He is also responsible for managing the different phases of diagnostics development till deployment to Azure Cluster Environment and its related platform, planning. Prior to Microsoft, Suresh worked as a Firmware Engineer at Intel, where he served as the Development Lead for Open BMC Firmware Development related to ARM based Servers related to BMC (IPMI, Redfish, etc.). He was also the Technical Lead for a team of 4 members for planning, designing, and developing different phases of firmware development till deployment to Cluster Environment. Suresh has also worked as a Principal Firmware Engineer at Dell, where he was responsible for the Dell Remote Access Controller or DRAC, an out-of-band management platform on certain Dell servers. He served as the Scrum Lead for a team of 12, which is related to backplane storage area, responsible for the I2C Subsystem in Main Processor and Co-Processor in BMC. He was also responsible for new feature analysis, design, and implementation of new features in BMC I2C subsystem without affecting any existing functionality and without impacting the customers. Suresh holds a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Hindustan College of Engineering. He has a diverse tech stack that includes Software Engineering, Azure, UI, Web, Senior Software Engineering, Test, MySQL, Backend, and Infra. With a relevant experience of 15.29 years, Suresh is a seasoned professional who has made significant contributions to the firmware engineering field.
