Suriya Mohan Selvaraj is a full-stack Software Engineer at Pandora, with a passion for developing products that change the way people interact with the world around them. Before transitioning into the tech industry, Suriya was an entrepreneur who ran an institution for children with learning disabilities, where he successfully led the institution to an acquisition. His experience in the education industry sparked his curiosity about computer science, leading him to explore programming on his own and eventually attend Hackbright Academy. At Pandora, Suriya is currently working in the Recommendations and Search team, which is considered the "heart of Pandora." He has also worked as an Apprentice Software Engineer at Pandora, where he learned solid designs and craftsmanship from his colleagues and built a job monitor with a Slack bot. Additionally, he has experience working as a Software Engineer at Hackbright Academy. Suriya's educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Anna University, a Master of Science in Psychology from Tamil Nadu Open University, and a Software Engineering Bootcamp certificate from Hackbright Academy. He has also completed a certificate course in Employee Relations & Talent Management and Workforce Development from UC Berkeley Extension. Suriya's technical skills include software engineering, search, and web development.
