Surya Prabhakaran is an AI Work Student at Blickfeld and an incoming M.Sc. Informatics student at the Technische Universität München. He is a skilled computer vision professional with hands-on experience and knowledge in various deep learning architectures. Surya has worked on several computer vision projects and is interested in implementing deep learning in various fields such as medical, self-driving vehicles, and security. Surya has 2.20 years of relevant experience in the field of computer vision and has worked as a Deep Learning Researcher at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre and SPARC, SRM Institute of Science and Technology. At SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Surya collected real-life knee MRI data, cleaned the data, and used image processing techniques to make the data trainable. He also developed software for super-resolution of knee MRI using deep learning architectures and implemented super-resolution algorithms such as LapSRN, MS-LapSRN, SRGAN, and SRCNN. Additionally, he developed a novel loss function for the same which provided better results. At SPARC, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Surya worked on a research project proposed by IIT, Kharagpur, and collaborated with the University of California, Davis. He worked on the detection of non-proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy and implemented several state-of-the-art deep learning architectures for image classification. Surya has a strong educational background with a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from SRM University and a Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelors from Ryan International School. He is currently pursuing a Master's of Science in Informatics from the Technical University Munich and has also completed an Intel® Edge AI for IoT Developers Nanodegree from Udacity. Surya's technical skills include computer vision, deep learning, AI, research scientist, and image processing. He is a highly motivated individual with a passion for learning and implementing innovative solutions in the field of computer vision.
