Surya Soma is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 5 years of experience in the industry. Currently, he is working at Google as a Software Engineer, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of the company's clients. Prior to this, he worked at Uber as a Software Engineer and at Kony as an Associate Technical Lead. During his time at Kony, Surya was involved in several projects that improved the performance of the company's applications. He implemented an Auto Refresh Layout that increased the percentage of run time performance by almost 20%. He also designed and developed an Android Testing Framework for users who build Android Applications using Kony Visualizer. Additionally, to help customers debug their JavaScript code, he integrated Chrome V8 inspector into Android applications, which supported debugging using Google Chrome. He owned the design and development of multiple Custom Views/ViewGroups for Kony Android Framework and developed and integrated a tool to generate run time Code Coverage of android applications built using Kony Android Framework. The tool was helpful in understanding which control nows are yet to be covered as part of automation testing. Surya holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, which he completed in 2021. Prior to that, he earned a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from CVR College of Engineering in 2016.
