Surya Tripathi is a seasoned problem solver with over 12 years of experience in building scalable and highly available customer-facing applications using any technology required to get the job done. He specializes in building MVP with any technology to get the product out in the wild. Surya is flexible with the approach to development via TDD, BDD, or F5DD and has experience with Safe-agile, waterfall, and extreme programming methodologies. Surya is passionate about solving complex problems in day-to-day life and contributing to open-source projects. He actively participates in solving real problems that programmers face on Stack Overflow. He is well-versed in all phases of product development life-cycle which includes research, planning, scope creep management, implementation, QA and automation, documentation, CI-CD, and maintenance. Currently, Surya works as a Team Lead at BrowserStack, where he is solving engineering problems and contributing to the overall product quality. In his previous roles, Surya has worked as an Associate at MSCI Inc. and a Senior Software Consultant at Castlight Health. At MSCI Inc., he was part of the ESG technical team, involved in maintaining the core engine of the application which uses heavy Ruby metaprogramming concepts for generating data on the fly. At Castlight Health, he coordinated with US counterparts, gathered requirements, and developed, architected, and designed applications with a large team. Surya holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science from Shree Ram College of Engineering and Management. He also completed his Higher Secondary education in Mathematics from Miss Hill H.S. School, Gwalior. Surya's tech stack includes Ruby, MySQL, AWS, Redis, Javascript, PHP, and SQL.
