Surya Vatsalya is a highly skilled Software Engineer currently working at Microsoft on the Fluid framework project, an open source project that enables developers to build simple co-authoring documents that can be embedded. With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani - Goa Campus, Surya has gained 2.19 years of relevant experience in the field. Surya's expertise lies in Backend, Frontend, DevOps, and Database services. He is proficient in technologies such as Javascript, Ruby, Java, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD. Prior to joining Microsoft, Surya worked as a Software Engineer at Flipkart, where he interned with the Promise team. He was responsible for cloud migration using DevOps technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD, etc. He also worked on front-end (Javascript, Ruby), backend (Java), and database services (Mongo). During his internship at Microsoft, Surya worked with the Mixer team, Xbox, where he developed an end-to-end technology that enabled the business team to view the negotiated split of gamers and adjust it. The front end was developed using React.js, and the backend was written in C#. Surya's current role at Microsoft involves working on the backend technology to add bot services to documents built using the Fluid framework. He is a proactive team player who is always willing to learn and collaborate with his colleagues.
