Susanta Biswas is an experienced engineer with a focus on building highly scalable distributed systems. With a background in computer science from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur, Susanta has a wealth of experience in end-to-end full-stack development of machine learning applications, from design architecture and backend services to frontend UI. He is particularly interested in solving challenging algorithmic problems and is familiar with the MEAN Stack. Currently working as a Software Engineer at Microsoft, Susanta is part of the Azure MySQL team, where he is working on highly scalable and distributed database systems. His current tech stack includes C# .NET, Kubernetes, Azure, MySQL, and Azure DevOps. Prior to joining Microsoft, Susanta worked as a Sr. Applied AI Engineer at Cognizant, where he was team lead for a number of projects, including a facial posture-based proctoring application, an object detection and tracking system, and an anomaly detection system for a top-tier technology company. He also developed algorithms for detecting non-stationary advertisement boxes in news videos and led a team of developers in developing an outage prediction model for data centers. His tech stack at Cognizant included Python, Elastic Search, MongoDB, OpenCV, NLTK, Tensorflow, Keras, AWS, Linux, and Docker. Susanta has also worked as a summer intern at CNERG, where he created different word-level language models for word prediction using n-gram probabilistic models. In addition to his extensive experience in software engineering and AI, Susanta has a diverse tech stack that includes object detection, backend development, deep learning, computer vision, Flask, Tensorflow, Elastic Search, MongoDB, DevOps, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, frontend development, and more.
