Sushant Daga is a Senior Data Scientist with over 4 years of experience in the field. Currently working with VMock Inc., he is responsible for leading NLG capability and ML Inference R&D. Sushant has undertaken multiple projects that align with VMock's interest in being an AI-forward company. His highlight projects involve working with SOTA Transformers-based models to solve problems and make them cost-efficient to train and deploy. Sushant's experience with BERT, GPT-2, T5, and BART has helped him in his current role. Before joining VMock, Sushant worked as a Machine Learning Intern with Softage Information Technology Limited. As part of the ML internship, he was tasked with building a pipeline to automate the extraction of fields from invoices. This project gave him an incredible learning opportunity as he started and planned an industrial project from scratch with guidance from an experienced team. It provided insights on how to curate data from raw sources and create a working ML solution for a messy "real-world" dataset. It also enabled him to practice long-term planning for solutions (how to steer the project over a long term under business constraints). Sushant was also an Early Team Member of HistoryDiaries, an initiative started by IIT Delhi students and alumni to bring history alive and transform the way students learn it. Sushant holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is proficient in Data Science, Research Science, ML, BERT, AI, and GPT. With his relevant experience and expertise, Sushant is a valuable asset to any organization looking to leverage the power of data and AI.
