Sushant Kolhe is a Computer Vision and Machine Learning enthusiast currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at North Carolina State University. With a keen interest in these fields, he is on the lookout for Summer'22 internships that will allow him to apply his skills and knowledge to real-world problems. Sushant is a self-motivated individual with a curious mind, always eager to learn and explore new ideas. Prior to joining North Carolina State University, Sushant worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Cadence Design Systems, where he developed various AI algorithms in C, C++ optimised for Tensilica IP AI/Vision cores. His experience includes working in Digital Signal Processing and AI teams, where he developed software libraries for various TIP Fusion and Vision/AI cores. Sushant's skills include programming in C, C++, and Python, and he is proficient in deep learning libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, Tensorflow, Pillow, and OpenCV. He is also familiar with tools like Eclipse, Matlab, Visual Studio, Jenkins, Jupyter, Perforce, Parasoft, JIRA, and Google Testing Framework. Sushant has worked on several projects during his time at Cadence Design Systems, including developing fixed point kernels to support the optimisation of any floating-point Neural Network using Xtensa Neural Network Compiler, developing and optimising non-convolutional layers for faster execution of neural network applications on hardware, and updating APIs to get Neural Network Libraries to be Functional Safety (FUSA) compliant and ISO-26262 certified using Parasoft compliance tools. He has also developed various analysis scripts to collect performance and precision data from Neural Networks running on various Tensilica cores for AI platforms. Sushant holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Instrumentation from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and is expected to complete his Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North Carolina State University in December 2023. Sushant's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Computer Vision, AI, ML, Neural Networks, Jupyter, Python, Tensorflow, Pytorch, OpenCV, test, Deep Learning, Scikit, Jenkins, and Pandas.
