Sushant Mathur is a highly skilled software developer with a passion for building things. He has a diverse background in mechanical devices, motorcycles, cars, and software development. Sushant is currently working as an SDE at Amazon Connect, where he is responsible for designing and implementing new search APIs and improving the latency of existing ones. Sushant's journey into software development began when he got his first Android device, and he was fascinated by the ability of applications to make life easier. He pursued his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from PICT and later joined Ryussi Technologies to learn about operating systems and networks. During his time at Ryussi Technologies, Sushant gained valuable experience in SMB, authentication protocols, and memory management. After working for two years, Sushant moved to San Jose to pursue his Master's degree in Software Engineering from San Jose State University. During his coursework, he learned about large-scale systems and advanced security concepts, which are invaluable to any software developer. Sushant has worked as an SDE intern at Amazon, where he implemented a new search API designed to replace an old one used across AWS Connect. He improved upon the latency of the old API by removing the need for post-filtering and leveraging DynamoDB's Global Secondary Indexes and projections. At Ryussi Technologies, Sushant expanded the customer base by 30% by implementing NTLMv2 server-side authentication protocol with encryption and signing for serving clients requiring a standalone server solution. He also enabled Microsoft's authorization model to function on Linux by extracting the MS-PAC data from Kerberos and using it to emulate Microsoft authorization behavior. Sushant's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Pune Institute of Computer Technology and a Master's degree in Software Engineering from San Jose State University.
