Sushant Pailwan is an experienced Lead Software Engineer and Data Scientist with a blend of full-stack engineering skills, including Data Science, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Project Management. He has a demonstrated ability to deliver valuable insights through data analytics and advanced data-driven methods. Sushant is a quick learner who can absorb new ideas and communicate them clearly and effectively. Currently working at Mastercard, Sushant is leading the data platform product life cycle from concept to production for Data Science experimentation and ML Model Implementation. He has seeded operational excellence, Metadata Search, and discovery, Data Science platform, and Data Governance. A player-coach within a highly matrixed environment, Sushant collaborates closely with Product Management teams, Leadership teams, and external customers to align priorities and develop and/or maintain People Analytics database. He drives collaboration and influences teams to make the newly created database an industry standard. Sushant has also led a team of data scientists, data engineers, and data analysts that designed and developed an innovative data analytics platform and developed customer-facing talent solutions to aid organizations in making data-driven decisions about their workforce. He has built and maintained executive dashboards that related HR KPIs to business outcomes and regularly presented insights. Prior to Mastercard, Sushant worked as a Senior Product Design Engineer at Mercedes Benz, where he collected, collated, and carried out complex data analysis to support customer requests. He collaborated with global and internal experts to come up with a solution that could help improve the process for better decision-making. Sushant also identified and implemented Machine Learning models using Python to enhance business performance. Sushant has a Managerial role as well, having worked as a Manager for Engineering Research Center at TATA. He was responsible for EMS Software Strategy development for commercial vehicles to improve fuel economy. He also predicted the Engine Performance parameters, Emission simulation, and parametric study using 1-D AVL Boost software for TATA’s 8.0L engine. Sushant holds a Master's degree in Fluids & Thermal Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, and an Engineer’s Degree in Mechanical from Walchand College of Engineering (a Govt. aided autonomous institute), Sangli-M.S.
