Sushant Sagar is an experienced Application Developer (Senior Consultant) at ThoughtWorks, with over 6 years of relevant experience in the field. He is a skilled software engineer with a deep understanding of microservice design and DevOps. In his current role at ThoughtWorks, Sushant is responsible for designing and delivering event-driven services using Golang and Kafka that enable downstream systems for data analysis. He has also been an active part of the team responsible for migrating critical and complex data flow of banking clients from an older platform to a new platform. Sushant has worked closely with the TL in delivery and management of the project. Prior to his current role, Sushant worked as an Application Developer (Consultant) at ThoughtWorks, where he was involved in legacy modernization to support scalability, extensibility, observability, and customization using Java and Springboot. He also played a DevOps role and set up CI and deployment plans, as well as observability capabilities in the system using New Relic, Splunk, and PagerDuty. Sushant created REST APIs using Java (Spring Boot) and developed UI in ReactJs. Before joining ThoughtWorks, Sushant worked as a Specialist Programmer at Infosys, where he worked as a full-stack developer in Java and ReactJs. He was responsible for legacy modernization of the application from JSP to ReactJs, following best practices of Clean Code and Unit testing. Sushant integrated changes to BFF and developed business logic to serve the modernized UI. He was also responsible for biweekly deployment activities and worked on setting up CI/CD. Sushant holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar. He also completed his Matriculation from Don Bosco Academy. Sushant's tech stack includes Kafka, Microservices, DevOps, Java, Spring Boot, New Relic, ReactJS, Golang, Javascript, UI, test, CI/CD, Spring, Web, Jenkins, Integration, Mobile, Backend, and Infra.
