Sushrut Phadke is a Business Generalist with a strong technical background in Aerospace & Aeronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has over 4 years of relevant experience in the FinTech and consumer goods industries, driving growth, customer retention, and analytics. Currently, Sushrut works as a Generalist at Zolve, a FinTech startup, where he is responsible for driving core-business growth. He has successfully delivered 4X growth and set up best practices for business intelligence in growth. Sushrut has also managed customer retention by identifying drivers of churn using a mix of business analytics, ML-based techniques, and primary research. He has proposed product changes that can drive customer retention in the long-term, designed communication campaigns based on insights, and determined effectiveness using A/B tests. Prior to Zolve, Sushrut worked as a Senior Data Scientist at AB InBev India, where he developed ML-based risk scoring models for B2B customers. He leveraged python-based binary classification algorithms, created hypothesis-based features, and tuned hyperparameters to come up with the most optimum algorithm that can predict the risk of default of any customer. Sushrut also worked on developing a first-ever internal risk scoring framework to assess the risk of offering long-term loans to ABI customers. He automated the data procurement, modeling, and deployment using Azure Databricks and Azure ML, thus leveraging MLOps best practices. Sushrut has also worked as a Credit Risk Summer Intern at Nomura, where he worked with the CRMO team to understand credit risk management, capital exposure calculations, and prepare process documentation. He automated their daily business activities using VBA in excel, which improved its working efficiency. Sushrut created summarized dashboards and investigation tools to provide first-step insights into current exposure and identified potential exposure drivers by remodelling the excel tool.
