Suvam Roy is a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer III at Walmart Global Tech India with over 5 years of relevant experience in the IT industry. He has a strong foundation in Data Structure and Algorithms, Core Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, Document DB, and a good understanding of Multithreading in Java. Suvam is a firm believer in continuous learning and strives to keep himself updated as per the industry standard. Currently, Suvam is working on the OIA (Omni Item Allocation) product at Walmart (Sam's Club) that allocates inventory items amongst all the Sam Clubs automatically. He is responsible for the Java-based backend part of the product and is focused on making it more scalable, robust, and multi-tenant. Suvam is excited about the exposure he is getting to Cosmos DB, Multi-Tenant model, and Azure Databricks for the first time at Walmart. Prior to joining Walmart, Suvam worked as a Technical Consultant at Morgan Stanley under the payroll of Accolite Digital on the Wealth Management Technology project. This was an up-gradation of the system developed in the 70s in Mainframe. He was responsible for integrating both E*TRADE and upgrading the Mainframe project by means of modern standard Event-driven Spring Application using Spring Framework, Hibernate, Kafka, Redis, and Microsoft DB. Suvam has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Programming from Netaji Subhash Engineering College. He has worked with companies like Cognizant in the past. Suvam has a diverse Tech Stack that includes Software Engineering, Spring, Azure, Java, Databricks, SQL, Kafka, Backend, Spring Boot, Redis, Frontend, test, Microservices, Data Scientist, MSSQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, and Mobile. In his current role as Senior Software Engineer at Accolite, Suvam is excited to start his new journey with the Accolite Digital family.
