Suvidya Daftardar is a seasoned Staff Software Engineer with over 13 years of experience in the software development industry. She is currently working at Virtana as a Staff Software Engineer, where she is responsible for leading technical teams, mentoring, and educating Sales and Services organizations on new features across releases. Suvidya has a proven track record of delivering successful projects, including revamping the licensing model for the flagship VirtualWisdom product and leading it through Common Criteria security certification, a required step to meet Federal security standards and open up into the Federal market. She was instrumental in securing VirtualWisdom using OpenSSL throughout the application stack, spanning Authentication, Authorization, Session Management, and Audit realms. Before joining Virtana, Suvidya worked as a Senior Software Engineer at eBay, where she designed and developed a social graph application to find links between eBay buyers and sellers to build trust. She also developed a multithreaded batch processing application using the Spring framework to remove account level flags on eBay customers. Additionally, she developed core infrastructure to facilitate performing risk/fraud checks at various flows the users go through as they navigate eBay's website. Suvidya has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Fergusson College. She also has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Pune. Suvidya has a strong technical background and experience in various technologies, including Spring, infra, SQL, Python, Java, Neo4j, Cypher, and Docker.
