Suyash Ahuja is an experienced Software Engineer currently working at Google as a SWE-III, where he is part of the GCP cloud data fusion team. He has a strong background in building highly scalable distributed systems and a demonstrated history of working in the information technology industry. Suyash is a BITS Pilani graduate with a Bachelor's degree focused on Information Systems. Prior to joining Google, Suyash worked as a Member of Technical Staff at Qubole, a cloud-based big data solutions provider to enterprises. At Qubole, he primarily worked in the SaaS space, building and scaling web services, cloud integrations, and platform monitoring. Suyash led a cross-team effort of migrating Qubole's entire control plane from Rails 4.2 to Rails 5.2, which spans across 16k code files and comprises more than 90% of Qubole's application. He also took end-to-end ownership of an online archival effort from MySQL to Big Data systems, which optimized indexes and enabled migrations, bringing down the application DB size by 75%. Suyash has also worked at Flipkart, where he was a Software Development Engineer for the supply chain team and Jeeves (Post delivery experience). He developed and owned billing systems for Jeeves, which generated bills on the order of INR 1Cr+/month and gained experience in Service Oriented Architecture in a service mesh of about 17 microservices.
