Swaminathan Muthuveerappan is a passionate teacher and a polyglot programmer with over 5 years of relevant experience in software development, management, and teaching. He is currently working as the Technology Lead & Engineering Manager at Rapido, where he is responsible for building and maintaining the systems integral to all teams and products. Swaminathan is a capable and flexible programmer who can work with various technology stacks and guide software developers to produce good quality code. He has worked under multiple teams on challenging problems with a mobile-first mindset and approaches problems with an "opportunity to learn" attitude. Swaminathan is enthusiastic about learning new things and building scalable and easy-to-use software solutions. He has worked on various products and projects, including communication products such as a notification system, custom notification engine, and call masking service. He has also worked on geo-platform products such as a geo layers management service, Rapido Places service, and Rapido location tracking service. Before joining Rapido, Swaminathan worked at Gojek as a MAGES Representative and Senior Software Engineer. He contributed to various initiatives, including the proto dependency management for gRPC services and the logistics integration initiative that enhanced the incentives system to support various use cases from logistics. Swaminathan holds a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Anna University and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from SRM University. He also completed his Higher Secondary education in Computer Science from Chinmaya Vidyalaya.
