Swanand Gaikwad is a Chemical Engineering graduate student at SVNIT, set to graduate in May 2021. He has a keen interest in Chemical Engineering Design and has previously worked on Industrial Equipment, including Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers (STHXs) and Centrifugal Pumps. Swanand has a good understanding of ANSYS software, primarily used for Computational Fluid Dynamics, and is currently working on learning ASPEN and its subsidiaries. Swanand's software skills include DesignModeler, Mesh Module ANSYS, ANSYS-CFX, DWSIM, and Microsoft Excel VBA. He is well-versed in Chemical Engineering, Plant Design, Industrial Equipment, ASPEN, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and ANSYS. Currently, Swanand is working as a Research Intern at Sarvajanik College of Engineering & Technology, under the guidance of Professor Ashish Parmar, in the domain of Computational Fluid Dynamics on a Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger. He has already submitted a paper on this topic to DeGruyter Publications. Swanand has also worked as a Research Intern at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat, under the guidance of Dr. Jogender Singh, in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics on Cyclone Separators. He has also worked as a Research and Development Intern at iHub - Awadh, where he worked on designing a model village powered by hydrogen that is produced from local resources, transported/dispensed in an optimized way, and utilized using fuel cell-powered agricultural machinery and homes. Swanand holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat, which he completed in 2021. His relevant experience is 2.20 years, and his tech stack includes Research Scientist and Decentralized.
