Swanand Kulkarni is an experienced Staff Engineer Data Scientist with over 10 years of relevant experience in Machine Learning R&D. He is currently working at Enea Openwave as a Staff Engineer Data Scientist, where he is responsible for tuning Machine Learning models for customer’s real-world datasets and writing production-level code for its deployment. He is also involved in designing and architecting solutions for new features and enhancements. Swanand has extensive experience in working with various Machine Learning Data Science Techniques, including Classification Algorithms using SKLearn(Python) and MLPack(C++), Clustering Algorithms using SKLearn(Python), Regression Algorithms using SKLearn(Python), Feature Selection: Recursive Feature Elimination(RFECV), Forward Feature Selection, and Hyperparameter Optimization: GridSearchCV. He has also worked with Deep Learning using TensorflowOnSpark, where he has implemented Deep Learning to Big Data Clusters of Spark and Multi-label classification using Neural Networks. In his previous role at Enea Openwave, Swanand worked as a Senior Data Scientist, where he was responsible for tuning Machine Learning models for customer’s real-world datasets and writing production-level code for its deployment. He also designed and architected solutions for new features and enhancements. He has also worked with TensorflowOnSpark to build Neural Networks on CSV data. Swanand has also been appointed as a Member, Board of Studies, Information Technology (Engineering) in the category of Meritorious Alumnus at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune. He is involved in reviewing the structure of the curriculum and providing recommendations. This is a voluntary activity. Swanand holds a Master's degree in Wireless Networks, Embedded Systems, Virtualisation from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Savitribai Phule Pune University. He has also completed his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in PCM (C.S.) from Fergusson College and his schooling from Abhinava.
