Swapneel Chauhan is a Software Engineer at KreditBee with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He has over 2 years of relevant experience in software engineering and research science. Currently, Swapneel is responsible for designing and implementing new user interaction-based features for KreditBee's credit card product. He is also developing a module for maintaining overdue in a new ledger system for credit card products independent of existing loan products. Additionally, he is implementing a new interface that can be used for loan multiple products and easily updated as new products are added. Prior to his current role, Swapneel worked on a B.Tech. Major Project in Biotechnology Research at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He amplified the OsPLT6 rice gene using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) for cloning into pBSSK+ cloning vector for better expression. He also transformed the destination vector into Agrobacterium to be used for infecting rice callus and subcultured callus in CIM to prepare them for infecting with Agrobacterium containing vector with the desired gene. Furthermore, he used GUS signaling mechanism to observe the expression patterns of the target gene and transformed callus with successful expression into transgenic plants by selectively forming stem root system in a controlled fashion. Swapneel has also worked as a Biotechnology Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He conjugated two individual strains of BL21 DE3 E. coli cells that contain vectors for NF-kappaB (cancerous) protein sub-units p52 and p65dd respectively. He used data collected from multiple SDS-Page runs to determine successful culture of required cell lines. Additionally, he optimized cells with N15 to help detection in 2D NMR spectrum for structural analysis and promoted protein synthesis and cell growth to maximize protein yield per batch. Finally, he purified protein using ion exchange chromatography over Ni-NTA column and size exclusion chromatography dextran gel column. In terms of education, Swapneel graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology in 2021. He completed his High School education from New Millennium School - DPS, Bahrain in 2017 and his Secondary School education from Shree Swaminarayan Academy in 2015.
