Swapnil Gusani is a highly skilled Data Scientist and Computer Scientist with over 9 years of relevant experience. He holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Computer Science from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Vidyavihar, Mumbai. Currently, Swapnil works as a Senior Manager - Data Science at Pharmeasy, where he leads the development and implementation of machine learning algorithms to improve business operations. His expertise lies in Machine Learning and its implementation using Data Structures and Algorithms. Swapnil has previously worked as a Senior Data Analyst at Periscope-Tech, where he was involved in high-profile projects for reputed clients like Capify, Vievu, and NYPD. He worked on systems that solve real-world problems such as increasing lending efficiency at Capify and helping NYPD improve the safety of people. He also designed and implemented a generic data pipeline using Pandas and Spark, through which any type of data transformation and analysis can be performed. It includes a module where a machine learning algorithm can be plugged in. As a Data Scientist at Vserv Digital Services Ltd., Swapnil was part of a 6-member Data Science team that served about 1 billion ad requests per day. He worked on Click-Through Rate (CTR) prediction and Real-Time Bidding (RTB) projects using algorithms such as Logistic Regression, Stochastic Gradient Descent, Adagrad, Nesterov Momentum, Adadelta, Softmax, and Thompson Sampling.
