Swapnil Joshi is a Software/ML Engineer at Murata Japan with a passion for learning and exploring the fields of GIS, ML, DL, and Computer Vision. He is currently pursuing post-graduation in Geoinformatics and Natural Resource Engineering (GNR) from IIT Bombay. Swapnil has completed his graduation in the Urban Planning Branch from the College of Engineering, Pune. He has also completed three summer internships, including the most recent one under the Joint Director of Town Planning Dept Maharashtra. Swapnil has experience in Human Resource Management and was a secretary at the Annual Social Gathering in his college. He is also a proud part of the COEP Cultural club and was an Overall Head. Swapnil loves playing the drums and watching one-act plays. Currently, Swapnil is working as a Student Developer at osgeo, where he is developing End-to-End Advanced pgRouting workshops focusing on UN SDGs [Open Source Contribution]. He has built Functions and Queries to solve problems like optimal locations of Hospitals and Water Distribution Centres, using tools such as osm2pgrouting, PostgreSQL, Linux(vim, shell scripts), GitHub, QGIS, Sphinx (documentation). Swapnil has previously worked as Company Coordinator and Interview Coordinator at the placement office, IIT Bombay. He was part of a 45+ member team responsible for the placement of 1800+ students from 18 departments in the institute. He targeted 50+ new potential recruiters and currently manages the recruitment process for 45+ companies. He has also coordinated with a team of 250+ members for interviews of 1700+ students. Swapnil has completed his Master of Technology - MTech in Geoinformatics and NR Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and his Bachelor of Technology - BTech in Urban and Regional Planning from the College of Engineering, Pune. He has also completed his 12th from H.P.T. Arts & R.Y.K. Science College, Nashik, and his 10th from MNR School of Excellence, Navi Mumbai. Swapnil has experience in ML, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Hyperparameter, Flask, and UI. He has relevant experience of 0.95 years.
