Swapnil has previously worked at SAP as a Developer, where he was involved in the design and development of the product "Gardener", which is a Kubernetes as a service offering from SAP cloud platform team. He mainly dealt with backup and restore of etcd backing Shoot, which is a provisioned Kubernetes cluster. Swapnil also developed the backup infrastructure for Shoots and actively participated in the design decisions of other components developed to achieve the Gardener product. He also held the responsibility of Performance Skipper, where he monitored the performance team to help gather the limit of Gardener product and its components through performance testing. He used this data for optimization and provided scalability solutions for the managed control plane of provisioned Kubernetes cluster. Before joining SAP, Swapnil worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He has also completed his Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Maharashtra Institute of Technology.
