Swaroop Sunil is a passionate Mechanical Engineer with over 7 years of experience in executing projects in the field of Model Based Engineering in both the Automotive and Aerospace Industry. He is currently working as a Senior Engineer at Collins Aerospace, responsible for building and maintaining the Air Management System (AMS) library components in Dymola, which are used for carrying out system-level activities for different programs. Swaroop is highly skilled in modeling and analyzing problems at the system level and has expertise in model building and analysis activities in the Thermal Management domain related to Engine and Transmission hydraulics. He is proficient in system modeling tools such as Dymola, Amesim, GT-Suite, and Matlab. He has exposure to FMU commands and steady-state Optimica Tool Compiler solver and has worked with configuration management tool Tortoise SVN. Swaroop has good domain knowledge in engine and transmission sub-systems and has been involved in the product development team providing design solutions to improve system/sub-system performance. He is quick to adapt and learn from opportunities and has executed projects by following Agile practice Scrum. He is a key member in executing Scrum ceremonies like Sprint planning, Daily scrum, etc. During his tenure at General Motors, Swaroop worked as a 1D Simulation Engineer in the Transmission and Engine domains. He developed a shift quality model to analyze the jerk during gear shifts for a 10-speed automatic transmission. He also performed system-level analysis on the hydraulic cam phaser, which is used to achieve variable valve timings on high-performance cars and commercial vehicles. Swaroop has a Master's degree in Thermal Engineering from IIT Madras and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from NSS College of Engineering, Akathethara. He is proficient in Spring and has relevant experience of 7.12 years.
