He is currently Co-Lead of the India Chapter of The VRAR Financial Services Association, where he is piloting India's FS Chapter and driving the future experience of the customer using available immersive technology. Swarup is also helping to build the next generation computing platform, leveraging AR and VR, and enabling the customers of banks and financial institutions to feel closer and more present with each other, even when they cannot be together physically. Swarup's past experience includes working as a Corporate Banking Manager at HSBC (erstwhile Midland Bank), where he worked on several special projects and initiatives, including refining the ethnic business strategy, tuning liability strategy/money transmission, and developing a special project for the international business unit to enhance its footprint in business in the UK. He also set up the central helpdesk for managing the grievances of the customers affected by BCCI's failure, working closely with the receivers Touche-Ross and Bank of England. Swarup holds an MBA in Finance from Banaras Hindu University and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Honors degree in Accounting and Finance from Delhi University.
