Swati Bararia is a highly skilled Software Engineer turned Masters' Student with experience in Data Engineering, Backend Development, Cloud Migration, Business Analytics, Microservices, and REST APIs. With over 2 years of experience as an SDE at Microsoft, Swati has worked on drawing insights on Customer Risk for the Accounts Receivable team and building Microservices for the Volume Licensing team. She is currently pursuing her Masters' in Science in Computer Science (Machine Learning Track) from Columbia University in the City of New York and is on the lookout for fresh challenges in Software and Data Engineering. During her time at Microsoft, Swati modernized the Agreement creation portal in Volume Licensing domain, simplifying the agreement creation process and yielding an annual cost saving of ~4M. She also reviewed the architecture of a React web app with 200+ components and modernized its REST endpoints. Additionally, Swati led org-wide initiatives, interacting with engineering teams and stakeholders, helping Microsoft stay compliant by deep diving into Event Flow Architecture to analyze potential risks, and flagged issues in handling of customer records. Swati has also designed and created a web app bot to interact with customers to handle dynamic user queries, providing automated response to common queries, reducing the load of DRI. She has exposure to Natural Language Processing, Microsoft Bot Framework, and LUIS API, significantly modernizing user interactions. She has improved the response time of user queries from hours to seconds, bringing down turnaround response time by 99.98% by removing DRI dependency, saving the company man-hours and freeing up engineering bandwidth.
