Swayam Raina is an experienced Software Development Engineer with 6.5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and scaling high-throughput systems using a TDD approach. He believes that perseverance and curiosity are the foundation on which many other aspects of personal and professional life depend. Currently, Swayam is working as a Software Development Engineer 3 at Swiggy, where he has defined domain boundaries and responsibilities for the microservice serving order history page for Swiggy New Initiatives (Instamart, Genie, Dineout). He has also migrated Genie Business Line from a legacy Order Management System to a new multi-tenant Order Management System (OMS). Additionally, he has mentored his team on best practices for PR creation and reviews, improved documentation and visibility of documentation for all post-order services for Swiggy New Initiatives. In his previous roles at Swiggy, Swayam has implemented pipelines to automatically ingest results produced by Machine Learning models to service datastore to reflect the slot capacities for every zone in a city. He has also scaled the forecasting pipeline to handle 1 million events per run and scaled the slot management service to handle daily bookings for 2 million Delivery Executives. He has designed an ECA (Event Conditioning Action) based monitoring system to keep track of on-ground demand-supply patterns and trigger short & long-term mobilization of DEs. Swayam holds a Master of Technology in Artificial Intelligence from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur (NIT Jamshedpur).
